About PHSO

Protecting human life through safer workplaces

The Pakistan Health and Safety Organization (PHSO) exists for one reason: to prevent people being injured, made ill or killed at work and in the places where they study and receive care.

We inspect institutions and workplaces, identify hazards and safety deficiencies, assess the risk they pose and recommend practical corrective and preventive measures. We train the people who manage and work in those places, and we return to confirm that improvements have been made.

Where an institution has completed the full assessment process and met the applicable requirements, PHSO issues an assessment certificate that anyone can verify online.

Our Mission

To protect human life by helping institutions across Pakistan identify hazards, correct deficiencies and build lasting health and safety practices through independent inspection, clear reporting, practical training and verified follow-up.

Our Vision

A Pakistan where every worker, student and patient returns home safely at the end of each day.

What guides us

Core Values

  • Life first — the safety of people comes before convenience, cost or reputation.
  • Integrity — we report what we find, accurately and without favour.
  • Evidence — findings are documented, photographed where appropriate, and traceable.
  • Partnership — we work with institutions to fix problems, not simply to list them.
  • Continuous improvement — safety is a practice that is sustained, re-checked and improved.

What we set out to do

Objectives

  • Raise health and safety standards in educational, industrial, healthcare and commercial institutions.
  • Identify hazards and deficiencies before they lead to accidents, injuries or loss of life.
  • Provide clear, evidence-based inspection reports and achievable corrective-action plans.
  • Build safety competence through awareness and professional training.
  • Verify improvements through follow-up inspections.
  • Recognise institutions that meet requirements with certificates that can be verified publicly.

Our Commitment to Protecting Human Life

Every recommendation PHSO makes is judged by a single test: will it reduce the chance that someone is hurt? We prioritise the most serious risks first, explain them in language that decision-makers and workers both understand, and stay involved until they are controlled.
